Located in the ground floor of four-star Hotel Kristal, Satu Lagi prides itself as an Irish bar and it is no wonder why it has a loyal stream of followers.
Wooden panels, solid furniture and bar-wise pop art décor such as Harley-Davidson custom plates gives it a masculine and relaxed feel. A single and well-maintained pool table is placed alongside a few dining tables near the entrance for patrons who want to dine and chill out. Women can often be seen practicing at the pool table as the bar is proud to have its own women's pool league, who had recently won a distinguished tournament. Several flat screen televisions broadcasting sport channels are installed in the bar, providing the customers good glimpses of shots and scores. A small outdoor seating area is also available, and is usually used to host small events or celebrations.
The background music are compilation of pop songs played from a CD player, but Ms Ami, the Assistant Public Relations Manager of Hotel Kristal, claims that from the audience's enthusiastic response on the bar's 1st post-renovation anniversary, the future the guests will also enjoy entertainment from an acoustic expatriate band.
The bar itself is located in the middle of the room, sporting an extensive selection of liquors and several draft beers, including German's Erdinger. Two specialties of the bar is Blue Ice- a mix containing amongst others: Crème de Menthe, Blue Curacao and Sprite; or The Ones which consists of Midori, Tequila and Vodka. Looking for one of Ireland's best exports, the Irish Coffee? Then you have come to the right place! The Bartenders are well-trained and good natured, greeting most of the customers heartily by their first or last name.
Most of Satu Lagi Bar's customers are in their thirties, looking for a quiet place to chill out after work. Ladies' night on Tuesday proves to be a popular draw for ladies who get to enjoy free wine and beer all night long.
The Satu Lagi Bar sticks to the basics and deserves in doing so. It is indeed a place where you feel an urge to say ‘Satu lagi' to the bartender!
